Going Buggy!

Whew! I just brought my laptop up to my room to blog before bed, and I think it is about 87 bazillion degrees up here. The AC in my room is super loud so I don't want to turn it on..just admire my dedication! :)

I love the stamp set, Bugs & Kisses. When I first became a demo last year, I traded all of my retired sets on Splitcoast, and pretty much accepted any trade offer of current merchandise so I had sets to demo..and I got this one! Perfect bc I have three little boys, so I may just keep it even after it retires (and I have a feeling it may this summer)

I think this card is super cute (it is CASE'd off of SCS, so thank you to the original creator)I demo'ed it at one of my first WS...and bc I showed how you could color on stamps with our markers...I sold a whole marker set! My friend Kim decided it was cheaper than getting all of inks right away..so you never know what you can sell if you just demo it!

Stamps- Bugs & Kisses
Paper- So Saffron, Real Red, Ballet Blue & Whisper White
Ink- Real Red, So Saffron, Ballet Blue
Accessories- Stampin Write markers (Real Red, Ballet Blue), Real Red Striped Ribbon, Circle Punches, dimensionals

MIA

I know I'm a new blogger, but I have already went MIA :( I'm sorry, but I have a pretty good reason..

On Saturday, in the middle of scrapbooking (which is a challenge for me normally!), my tooth started to hurt. I didn't think much of it, my teeth are sensitive from brushing too hard as a kid, I have worn the enamel down. But by Easter afternoon I was on Orajel, 4 Advil and still crying on the couch in pain.

I called every dentist in NH until I found one to take me on Monday, and immediately discovered that I had a huge abscess in my tooth. I had to go for an emergency root canal. I went to the endodontist right away. The infection was so bad that they had to stitch a drain into my gums to get it out. And apparently novocaine and similar meds do not take as well in infected tissue, so I had three shots before I was numb. The drilled out the problem but could not complete the root canal. I had the drain out yesterday (and they almost couldn't get it out, and thought they had to anesthetize me again, but finally did it.) The put in a temporary filling but I have to go back to have the root canal finished and then to the dentist to have a crown put on. And we discovered that the dental insurance we enrolled in when Chad got this new job last year...apparently is nonexistent. So we have to pay all of this out of pocket...almost as painful as a throbbing face. I do have some pics of things I made with SAB stuff and I am making cards tomorrow night, so I hope I have something for you soon!

Hey...at least I scrapped 34 pages on Saturday :)

Plaid, Argyle and Stripes, oh my!

Here are some cards I made for a friend of mine, Stacy. Her son Nick is being confirmed in May, and she asked me to me to make her 60 invitations. She found the general layout on SCS, but I'm not sure who the original creator was..if you do, LMK! And then she asked me to make 40 thank you cards for him to give out as well. I decided to keep the paper and colors the same, just change up the layout a teeny bit. It didn't turn out exactly like I planned, but what I had envisioned wouldn't fit right, so this is what I came up with. Making 100 cards needs them to be CAS (clean and simple). Though...any cards that required me to punch 300 holes and set 300 brads...aren't really that simple! :)

Invitation:
Stamps- Sincere Salutations, non SU praying hands stamp
Paper- Manchester DSP, Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
Ink- Chocolate Chip
Accessories- nonSU gold brads, Photo Corner Punch, dimensionals

Thank you cards:
Stamps- Much Appreciated (retired)
Paper- Manchester DSP, Kraft, Very Vanilla, Baja Breeze
Ink- Baja Breeze
Accessories- nonSU brads
